Allison Cara Tolman has been acting for more than 20 years. She has been nominated Golden Globes and Emmys for her role in Fargo Season 1 in the role of Molly Solverson. Tolman received accolades for her performance as Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair noting that she "calmly and undoubtedly completely stole the film". Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress, Films/Miniseries. In addition she was nominated in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. It was also in the same year that it was announced that Tolman is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the Mindy project on the show as Abby Berman who is a romance author. The actress was the support character in Michael Douglas' horror comedy film Krampus. Tolman turned down several parts in the supporting roles including best friends parents, spouses and even husbands after her breakthrough role on Fargo. She was looking for an unusual role. Tolman's performance in 2017 on ABC Downward Dog was based on the Animal Media Group Web Series. Following one season, it was cancelled. Tolman has been known as a Twitter user, claimed that she earned "pretty impressive" results on her role in the ABC Drama Emergence.
